Your typical catty.

The catalog (also known as the catty or the 'log) is a feature on many imageboards that displays threads as a grid of thumbnail images. You can use it to find a gemmy thread without having to click through pages. It is useful because you can sort by post creation date, reply count, or even random if you are bored.

It is one of two modes of viewing an imageboard, the other being the index, which displays a vertical list of threads and their most recent replies.

History

Catalog mode first appeared on Futaba Channel in 2006. 4chan would copy the feature in 2012. soyjak.party has always had a catalog because it runs on Vichan software.
