If you want to go a trade school route to be an electrician for whatever reason, go through your school's guidance counselor, they will be able to find schools that communicate with your school so you don't have to pay your weight in gold to attend.

Don't do anything that would require to make you drive more than 15 minutes. You have no reason to do that.

Commercial electrical fires are 6 times less likely to occur over residential electrical fires despite residential electrical work being the 'easier' job of the two. This is because commercial electricians often operate on larger teams and have stricter requirements for becoming electricians over residential electricians. Take this information with what you will. But yeah learning to become an electrician is very similar to learning English as a child, you got to speak Ohms Amps Volts instead of A B C now.
