What a pass looks like

A 4chan pass lets you bypass some stuff on 4chan for 12 months (or 3 years). By buying one, you are essentially making the moderators do it for money <-- no, apparently all the profits go to hiro.

Things it does[edit | edit source]

  • Bypass captchas
  • Bypass rangebans for phones and VPNs
  • Reduce post cooldowns
  • Show off how long you have been cucked by entering since4pass in the Options field.
  • lets you use p4 (which is currently broken)

"Bold Member"[edit | edit source]

Before the Great Cuckset, Stripe handled card payments for 4chan. After they got hacked, Stripe stopped processing payments for 4chan. While rolling out the new captcha, they re-added the card payment option. Trying to buy a Pass redirects you to a website called boldmember.org, a website whose domain was only registered in June '25. On the purchase screen, it says "Powered by Stripe".

What's going on is that when 4chan got hacked, Stripe heard the bad press about 4chan being outdated so they cut ties with 4chan. Team 4chan then built up a shitty website without any connection to 4chan to use as a proxy for 4chan Pass payments with Stripe.

If you go to boldmember.org, you'll instantly see how rushed and vibe coded it looks. If you try to sign up, no verification email will be sent out. There's no favicon for the site, as /favicon.ico redirects you to the homepage. You can demo the admin panel, but it is very much broken and lackluster in features, further proving that it's a proxy for Stripe payments.

History[edit | edit source]

It was introduced in 2012 and you could buy it with a debit/credit card using Stripe for 20 dollars.

In 2013, they let you buy it with bitcoin.

Nothing happened until 2025 where they blocked card payments, and they increased it to 30 dollars for some reason.

As of December 16, 2025 they have added back the card payment option, while coincidentally making the captcha more niggerhell.
