Hitbox.io is a SNCA fighting/platform browser game with a dedicated Sharty playerbase, although it has declined in the Salt era. The player character is a tiny little square with a horribly floaty jump. Your goal is to kill all the other player's squares, using missiles, wooden clubs (ev&doe those suck), and powerful gusts of wind. It's also an easy way for nusois to share their coally soy-themed music with other 'teens.

Hitbox allows players to create custom maps, although the vast majority of these are coal.

List of notable Hitbox.io custom maps

[edit | edit source]
  • Capture the Box: The most commonly chosen map, simply consisting of a red and a blue fortress.
  • /soy/ - Soyjaks: A recreation of the /soy/ header, harkening back to the good old days when /soy/ was a blue board.
  • Temple of Soyjak Gemerald: A fittingly gemmy map that nophono cares fan about.
  • Twin Towers: Exactly what you think it is. Obsessed brimstone map made by a goatfucker.
  • Nikocado Avocado Eats You: the only real 'box map. Yes, coinslot camping is an actual strat.
  • The underground waterfall map: Consists of a flooded cave surrounded on both sides by giant cliffs, with a floating island in the middle. Rape anyone who picks this campy shithole to death.

Strategies

[edit | edit source]
  • Hide in a horizontally narrow area, then jump and spam missiles.
  • Camp in a space where the only entrance is a small doorway or another confined area. This make it harder for them to dodge your missiles.
  • If a map has objects that can be picked up, completely cover yourself with them.
  • If you get launched high into the air, try to land on top of other players.
  • Don't even bother trying to hit missiles back with your club; it doesn't work half the time.
  • Blow other players into bottomless pits by pressing V.
  • Stay near corners. That way you'll only have shit coming at you from one side.
