No Janny Weekend
The No Janny Weekend incident started when a thread was made in mid October 2023 that pointed out how crystal.cafe users are thankful to their jannies while soyteens are seemingly ungrateful. which prompted Root to propose a "No Janny Weekend" where mods would only remove illegal content. Since the weekend was just a few hours away, many soyteens were ready to start posting the most vile and coalish NAS possible, ending in an all out assault of /soy/ where 'lita, tranny, 'p, ['p wasn't posted to my knowledge, the filter dealt with most of it] scat and porn threads were spammed incessantly, just like /soy/ used to be raided back before Kuz covered european hours with jannies in 2022. The incident came to a close an hour later when Angeleno larping as the Turkish dev[1] and later froot[2] started deleting and banning spam threads, with the former alleging that no "No Janny Weekend" heads-up was given by Root.
