Soyjak Wiki:Module
- Project subpages (mw:Lua – index at www.mediawiki.org)

Modules are programs written in Lua 5.1.x and executed by the Scribunto extension. They are generally used by templates to perform tasks that would be difficult, inefficient, or impossible using ordinary wikitext and parser functions alone.
This page lists useful modules available on the Soyjak Wiki. It is intended as a directory of modules that editors and template developers may actually want to use, rather than a complete list of every page in the Module namespace.
Many modules are primarily intended to be called through templates rather than invoked directly. See the module's documentation before using it.

Scribunto modules are lua scripts in the Module: namespace. They can be invoked from wikitext using the #invoke parser function. Modules have a collection of functions, which can be called using wiki syntax.
{{#invoke:Module name|function name|args ...}}
Before modifying a module that is widely used, check its transclusions and documentation. Changes to a heavily used module can affect a large number of pages at once.
Experimental code should be developed in Module:Module sandbox before being deployed to a widely used module.
