Sidebars[edit source]
@Rickert I'm not a fan of having sidebars, at least not without CSS adjustments. Wikipedia and other wikis have css classes to hide these from mobile view. –Gem 💎 (talk) 18:00, 18 August 2026 (UTC)

- Module:sidebar has a nomobile class here being honored by Monobook so they will never render on mobile (but will on large screens, like on an iPad).
regarding Sidebars themselves, they are good for pages that are barren, and are (in my opinion) better than footers in many cases (far easier navigation, compact and easy to use etc. read more here (lists pros cons too).)
You can always remove them from a page that you think doesn't need it (or all of them), but at least having a few templates around as an option is good imo, also as an introduction to this ki since it seems they were never used. If rejected from use, move them back to my userpage till a day comes when editors want them in use. Variety is the spice of life as they say. Rickert (talk) 18:31, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
