TLDR: some retarded nusoi spent an entire hour of his life trying to mathematically determine what a "major" soyjak variant is, and failed.
What is a major variant (statistically speaking)?[edit | edit source]
Template:Variants claims that anything with over 1000 'booru posts is a major variant.
When Template:Variants was made back in November 2022, the most popular variant on the Booru was regular old Soyak, with approximately 8800 posts based on my horrible math. I'd rather not explain how I obtained this likely inaccurate number.
The 'booru has grown a lot since 2022, and the most popular variant is now Chudjak, with 34,609 posts as of June 16, 2026.
Therefore, to adjust for the growth of the 'booru, only variants with more than 1000/8800 (~11.4%) as many posts as Chud should be considered "main variants".
34,609*11.4% = 3,945.
