Restricted thread is a posting option that hides the content of the thread's replies for newer and banned IPs, it however does not hide attachments. It was added by Quote as a way to prevent spam and snitching inside of raid threads.
It's not a very popular option though. Since most IPs nowadays are dynamic, a sudden change could prevent you from reading the same thread you were in just a few minutes ago.
