Advertisements, or just ads, are a marketing tool used by companies, especially ones run by (((them))), in order to promote their companies or products.
Advertising overall is a marketing strategy used in order to make money. Many websites on the internet have been overrun with ads, so use an ad blocker if the ads are too much of a nuisance. Websites such as Fandom.com have a LOT of ads.
History on the Sharty[edit | edit source]
Back during Soot's ownership, he put ads with malware on the site. This prompted questions about his role as the site admin.
During Swarthy Thursday in 2023, (((Max))) implemented blacked.com ads on the site, and disabled user CSS in order to prevent 'teens from blocking those ads. He also charged Doll for expenses that he supposedly owed Max for. This was one of the events that led up to the first death of the Sharty.
Use in real life[edit | edit source]
Irl, ads pop up all over the place when you’re near a city or on a highway. However, the more rural you get, the less frequent those become. Ads are often seen on TV and video games, and can be very annoying when they interrupt you.
Use on the internet[edit | edit source]
Ads are very common on the internet, and some sites have gooner ads, which can be disturbing. Thankfully, unlike IRL, you can use an ad blocker. JewTube has banned ad blockers, but you can use them just about anywhere else. This is especially useful if you want to get rid of gooner ads or prevent lag on your device.
