2021[edit | edit source]

August - The beginning of the most autistic website on the internet (and the soysphere)[edit | edit source]

  • August 3 - After OnionsBooru (soybooru.booru.org) got closed due to spam, LolKike made booru.soy
  • August 25 - SoyBooru was deleted after user Soyak requested ownership of the Booru on its forum section due to the inactive moderation and consequent spam.[1] After the forum post went unnoticed, he then emailed booru.org staff at the suggestion of another chud. Unfortunately, this brought the issue to the attention of booru.org admin “Mr K.,” who promptly deleted the entire Booru and, with it, over a year of hard work and 'jak history from many dedicated archivists, because of about a dozen pornographic images and fewer than ten low‑resolution gore images, which were, as he put it, “too much to reasonably remove.”[2] Around 700 'jaks were turned into lost media soyjaks, although a chud was able to upload an incomplete archive of SoyBooru's images to soyjak.download.[3] However, a new booru had been made public two days prior after the original was spammed.[4]

September '21[edit | edit source]

  • September 6 - In an impromptu Q&A in a Sootbait thread on /soy/, Soot revealed that OnionsBooru's owner (whose username on the Booru is “lolkekkeklmaolmaolmaoxdhaha”) had transferred ownership to him.[5] He further said that the Booru would be moved to his “own domain.”[6] On September 7 2021, the Booru was released to the public once again at https://booru.soy (the old link soyak.win was made to redirect to the new link) in a pinned post on /soy/.[7] OnionsBooru's former owner, who remained a moderator, changed the “Featured Post” to a CIAjak to commemorate Soot's takeover.[8] It has since been changed to a different 'jak.[9] For the duration of the Booru's time on its old domain, the Featured Post remained the Swedish "first soyjak".[10]

January '22[edit | edit source]

  • January 14 - soyjak.party was shut down by the hosting provider due to CSAM reports. This resulted in many users going to the booru and spamming it with unrelated NAS images.[11] A few hours later, soyjak.party went back up and all the NAS spam was deleted.
  • January 15 - A day later, the entire booru was wiped except for one Chudjak image.[12] The reason why or how this happened is unknown. This resulted in SuBooru becoming the main booru for soyjaks, until the latter shut down in March 26, 2022.

  • April 6 - Earliest known appearance of Patriotjak is posted on the 'ru.[13]
  • April 20 - Earliest known appearance of Goopjak is posted on the 'ru.[14]

  • December 4 - SoyBooru later closed again on December 4, 2022 due to a large vandalism attack. This closure was prolonged due to the admin not having too much time to work on it. SoyBooru reopened, along with some infrastructure upgrades, on December 10, 2022.
  • December 14 - Earliest known appearance of Muscular Chud is posted on the 'ru.[16]

  • January 11 - Earliest known appearance of Smugquack is posted on the 'ru.[17]

  • March 22 - SoyBooru reaches 30,000 posts.
  • March 24 - Earliest known appearance of PPP is posted on the 'ru.[20]

  • June 17 - Earliest known appearance of Yurjak is posted on the 'ru.[22]

  • July 27 - Earliest known appearance of Seriousjak is posted on the 'ru.[23]

  • August 6 - Chudjak overtakes Gapejak as the most popular variant on SoyBooru.
  • August 9 - Gapejak is briefly the most popular variant on SoyBooru, before Chudjak overtakes it once again.
  • August 14 - lolkek wiped the entire booru, demodded everyone, and posted one tranime picture along with the tag "soicucks_lost." This user then commented the following:

I've become more spiritual in the last year and I do believe that the creation of this site is an unforgivable sin. I'm sorry, please forgive me... DEATH TO AM*RIKA[24]

Later, all posts with Cobson were restored, the logo was changed to a smiling Cobson, and the counter was replaced by four images of Cobson with a large gape. It was renamed to CobsonBooru everywhere, except on the frontpage under the logo, where the previous name remained

Then it came back to it's normal state, but shortly after that, these Cobby changes were reverted. Lolkek made another post with the same tranime picture and comments that he had a full backup of the site shortly before he nuked it.[25]

Shortly afterwards, the site was entrusted to Angeleno, and he took over the site. Everything after July 27th was lost, due to lolkek ghosting Angeleno's requests for the data.

  • August 17 - the booru was wiped AGAIN by Lolkek on an alt with the same tranime image, but this time with the caption:

  • August 27 - Earliest known appearance of Fisheyejak is posted on the 'ru.[26]

  • September 3 - Earliest known appearance of Trannyfur is posted on the 'ru.[27]

  • October 8 - Angeleno makes a post announcing the transferral of SoyBooru from his servers to Froot's.[28]

  • January 1 - Earliest known appearance of Parrotjak is posted on the 'ru.[30]
  • January 18 - SoyBooru was taken down[it just is, ok?] and now redirects to a page called "Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page". This is due to server migration, as a message appears in the blotter: "Booru is down because we are migrating servers. the Party should never go down when the switch happens".

  • February 4 - Earliest known appearance of Hydejak is posted on the 'ru.[31]
  • February 19 - Earliest known appearance of Lennonjak is posted on the 'ru.[32]
  • February 29 - Earliest known appearance of Mexiaryan is posted on the 'ru.[33]

  • March 2 - The details of the art contest are revealed on SoyBooru.[34]
  • March 23 - Earliest known appearance of Sloppy is posted on the 'ru.[35]

  • April 6 - Both the sharty and the booru go down for 10 minutes and then they go down again, Jesus there's a fire in the server room.
  • April 18 - Creator of the modern day 'ru and former soot-era sharty mod/admin Lolkek holds an AMA on the shlog.[36]
  • April 24 - The Azeri-Armenian War begins, causing a massive damage to the 'ru

  • May 1 - Doll becomes admin of the booru.[37]
  • May 5 - variant:chudjak surpasses 10000 posts on the booru.[38]
  • May 12 - Earliest known appearance of Mexiwhore is posted on the 'ru.[39]
  • May 22 - The booru shut down for a while and the Sharty is replaced by an Indonesian scam site yet again. This is 100% the fault of the asian developers Froot hired.[40] Earliest known appearance of Abortion Lover is posted on the 'ru.[41]

  • June 10 - Earliest known appearance of Branigger is posted on the 'ru.[42]

  • August 8 - Variant:gapejak surpasses 10000 posts on the booru thanks to flagspam.[44]
  • August 15 - Earliest known appearance of Female Meximutt is posted on the 'ru.[45]
  • August 17 - Earliest known appearance of Morbidmutt is posted on the 'ru.[46]
  • August 20 - The booru announces that they are upgrading their version of Shimmie from 2.9.2 to 2.11.4 only to later downgrade back to 2.9.2 due to the issues that arose.[47]
  • August 25 - After 10 days of hard work, the sloppiest 'jak (so far) is finished and uploaded to the 'booru, it becomes a featured gem.[48] Earliest known appearance of Brazilmutt is posted on the 'ru.[49]

  • September 30 - Buff Cobson takes the spot for the 70000th approved post on the booru.[50]

  • December 6 - 10000th variant:soyak post on the booru.[52]
  • December 15 - the site was in a read-only mode for anons due to sieges from 'Der cord and tag vandalizations. People without accounts couldn't post comments, upload, or tag posts. It was reopened shortly after the 'cordpedos got absolutely BTFO'd by DOLL and Warrior-Z. THOUGH, anonCHUDS can't edit tags anymore to prevent vandalism.
  • December 21 - Earliest known appearance of Brazilaryan is posted on the 'ru.[53]
  • December 23 - Earliest known appearance of Endmutt is posted on the 'ru.[54]

  • Astrofene gets banned from the 'ru.

  • January 29 - The Booru finally reaches 80,000 posts with a feralrage with the Burundi flag imposed on it.[55]

  • February 5 - SoyBooru's 100000 GET is posted and deleted later.[56]
  • February 11 - The flag tag on the booru reaches 10000 posts.[57]

  • March 30 - 111111 GET stolen by FPE brimstone.[58]

  • April 7 - A poll is stickied asking 'teens if classic amerimutt posts should be allowed on the SoyBooru.[59]
  • April 16 - The booru reaches 90,000 total posts[60]
  • April 25 - An XSS exploit involving BBCode formatting in the comment section was found. The person who discovered this exploit used it to inject javascript that applied a 4chan theme to the site.[61] The site was taken offline within a few minutes and came back up 3 hours later with the exploit patched.
  • April 30 - Warrior-Z braps up a 'booru comment section so hard that it breaks and exceeds the comment limit. This resulted in Soysneed having to reset the site and reprogram it to support longer comment sections.[62]

  • May 3 - NAS gets allowed on SoyBooru. << its only frogs and gigas doe.[63]
  • May 7 - On May 7, 2025, 9a0c announced that the Booru was "broken",[64] with the site going down. A looped 'ru refugee thread was created in /qa/.[65] Even though it could have been a coverup for an unknown agency taking over the site.

  • July 3 - Flagspam is banned on the booru.[66]
  • July 10 - 100,000th IAS post on the booru from an Indiana Jones 'jak.[67]
  • July 20 - Foidocaust

  • August 21 - Lolkek becomes a SoyBooru and Soyjak Wiki approver, but is demoted from his post as approver only two hours later for tagging a pic with kids in it with "built for BBC."[68]

  • December 1 - SoyBooru gets a new Christmas-themed UI.[74]
  • December 2 - Namefag named "Yohannen" has a massive crash out and announces his retirement from the Soysphere.[75]
  • December 5 - Circus_2 is unbanned from the 'ru.[76]
  • December 6 - Boorubraps start breaking comment sections with text styling to shitfling.[77]
  • December 7 - GemersonLakeAndPalmer Steals the 150,000 GET out of the hands of a FPE shitskin with a Muscular Chud edit of paraíba [78]
  • December 8 - epx7fclhdrp spams under a post of HTSM and some SNCA dragon furry OC so hard the site crashes temporarily[79]. Marking today as the Great 'Ru Cabbage Brap Panic of 2025.[80]
  • December 10 - 'log was spammed with barely IAS wojak political """memes""" created by a commiepedotroon from Instagram.[81] A counter-raid was attempted against said commiepedotroon,[82][83][84] but it turned out to be a failraid in the end. dap_chhuon is made approver.[85]
  • December 11 - Crackinglabubu is created and forced on the 'ru and Sharty.[86]
  • December 13 - Mustard hires multiple new approvers.[87]
  • December 15 - An approver named Chudson88 uploads a Femjak template which was traced off of porn, but eventually changes his mind and attempts to take the post down by removing its tags and disapproving it multiple times, eventually making jannies to lock the tags on said post.[88]
  • December 16 - The creator of Vlodson is banned, then immediately unbanned from the 'ru. A small crisis takes place over a Vlodson video that kept getting uploaded, approved, disapproved, deleted, and reuploaded again.[89] Eventually, Mustard himself reuploads it.[90]
