Soyjak Wiki:Draft

This topic relates to this very wikiHere be edit wars, censorship and template spam.

Draft pages on this very 'ki are articles that are considered to be unfinished and/or low quality, and thus in need of substantial improvement before being moved to the main namespace. The draft namespace is the successor to the now-defunct SNCA namespace that was removed following an administrator decision in late September 2026, and all former SNCA pages were moved to the draft space. The lesser-used Landfill was phased out in favor of drafts as well.

This article is an excellent example of a page that would be moved to the draft namespace: it is stubby, low-quality, and written about a topic with absolutely no relevance to the soysphere.

Guidelines

• (You) VVILL NOT link to any draft page on main-namespace articles.
• When creating a new article, default to doing so in the draft namespace unless (you) think that it is sufficiently high quality. Per Wiki rule G8, unfinished articles will be moved into the draft namespace anyway.
• If (you) are looking for something to do, try gemming up some of the draft pages — there is certainly no shortage of them.
• (You) VVILL NOT move a draft to the mainspace if it is not ready.

Launching a draft

When the quality of a draft is good enough to be a page, it can be "launched" by moving it to the mainspace. Currently, only users with the suppressredirect permission can do this, which is only given to jannies. This is because by default, moving a page creates a redirect from its old title, but redirects from the draftspace to the mainspace are not allowed.
