Fossil pages are a type of page on this very 'ki that are objectively low-quality but still have historical value. Usually, these pages have numerous issues, such as being (giga)stubs or otherwise violating the Manual of Style. However, they are not candidates for deletion because they preserve elements of the "old" (2023 or earlier) wiki. In formal terms, this is considered a grandfather clause.

Note that a page just being old does not necessarily qualify it as a fossil: for example, the Cobson page was created back in 2021, but has been actively maintained and is therefore classified as a gem instead. Most of the patient and doctor pages created by the The Swede are also fossils.
