The On This Day (OTD) project is an ongoing effort to create panels (for the main page) that show Sharty-related events that happened on each day of the year, similar to Wikipedia. It was started on March 29, 2026, commemorating the wiki's fifth birthday.

Currently, many new OTD panels are still needed, so (you) VILL create more. When creating a new panel, the title must follow this format: Dailyjak:On This Day/[Month Day]

The date should be written as the full month name followed by the day (no commas), for example:

• Dailyjak:On This Day/February 2
• Dailyjak:On This Day/October 31

Use this template to document events.

Keep in mind that all entries should be directly related to the soysphere (including the pre-Soyset era). In most cases, the earliest year included should be 2017, though there may be some relevant dates earlier than that pertaining to things like Proto-soyjaks.

For sourcing events, reading the annual Happenings pages is a great way to find relevant events for a given date. When writing an OTD, please try to keep the length to about one sentence per year; don't just copy and paste everything from the happenings pages.
