Tamami Chanohata, otherwise known as Neutral Girl is an Anime girl known for being used as a reaction image on old /qa/ and sometimes on the sharty's /a/.

History

Tamami originates from the anime and manga series Mahoraba Heartful Days, the image more specifically being taken from Episode 17: Color of the Sky. She was already often posted on the rest of 4chan, but more relevant to us is her use on the /qa/ board, where her neutral yet possibly judgemental expression served as a useful tool for anime posters to counter Frogposters, who already had classic Pepe to serve as their default reaction image, not to mention Soyjak posters who had a wide variety of characters, including ones that they could turn neutral. She lost relevance to the Soysphere after the locking of /qa/ and the sharty not allowing NAS to be posted, albeit she is still seen on 4chan and new /qa/ from time to time and can be considered a remnant of the original /qa/'s culture. The most common image is slightly edited from the original anime frame, having the background removed, horizontally flipped, and a mouth added.
