Thread watcher

A thread watcher is a feature in imageboards and some textboards where it periodically and/or manually refreshes a list of threads, checking for new reppeys.
On 4chan[edit | edit source]
You can enable a thread watcher in [Options] in the top right. You click
to watch a thread, and it appears in the floating thread watcher window. Bold text indicates new replies and italic bold text indicates someone's replied to you.
On the 'arty[edit | edit source]
You used to be able to click a link next to a post and it would display a tiny notification in the bottom right, saying "New reply in /soy/123456" or whatever. It disappeared in about 5 seconds and you couldn't middle click it to open the thread in a new tab, making it pretty annoying to use. This feature no longer exists due to lag. Do not investigate this matter any further.
