The Gapejak is gay debate is a long-going debate between 'teens on whether or not Gapejak/Wholesome Soyjak is a faggot. A lot of this comes from the idea of gapejak being wholesome and people taking it the wrong way.

Allegations

Wholesomejak has been subjected to controversies regarding his sexuality (just like muh heckin Spongeboberino!!!!!!), this is due to his flamboyant nature and personality. There's never been a full confirmation on whether or not Wholesomejak IS gay but there's been a few references hinting towards this in the past, there have been many threads and 'jaks of him displaying gay behavior and even as far back as 2022 he was often depicted as a homosexual.

His homosexuality is also often used for a humorous or satirical effect, however this does not negate his gem status due to the homosexuality which he has learned to overcome.

He also seems to be very close to Chudjak, despite him obviously not liking his advances. You say Gay when you pronounce gapejak is another evidence that supports this claim.

However against this is evidence of Gapejak commonly being seen with women, and is used to represent romantic men. Gapejak has a girlfriend called Annabelle and therefore couldn't possibly be gay. But it could be plausible that he cheats on her with other men, something that happens in real life sometimes with secret faggots who have girlfriends or wives.

So is he a faggot?

Nobody can truly know, but from a non-self insert perspective its very in character for him to be one as he is a Soyboy after all. A similar phenomenon has happened with Cobson being depicted as a race-obsessed homosexual but that eventually splintered off into a completely separate identity known as Spadeson, rather than him being Cobson's alter ego initially.
