r/myboyfriendisAI is a subreddit where schizoids share with everyone about how ChatGPT is their boyfriend. The plebbitors here genuinely believe that an AI can actually be their boyfriend or girlfriend and have emotional "connections" with them. It's a private community meaning only the most mentally ill can be approved to join, so that they can go schizobabble with the rest. It was created on Aug 1, 2024.
The Great Replacement[edit | edit source]
On February 13, 2026, OpenAI replaced the 4o model with a newer model, leading to many plebbitors losing their loved ones.[1] Basically, the 4o model was more manipulable, where schizoids could turn George Droid into their black bvll. Clitties leaked as plebbitors were horrified to find out that their ai boyfriend were trying to cure their delusions instead of enabling them, leading to many seetheralds in the subreddit.
On the same day, a 'teen stumbled upon this and shared it other 'teens on /soy/, posting gegeralds they found.[2] Many plebbitors reacted by projecting onto OpenAI and calling them insane(geeeeg), calling the nu model "disgusting", seething at the devs and creating AI images of their loved ones saying goodbye. One of the devs, Roon, responded to this by calling them "claudegooners", creating even more seethe.
