1488 is a number between 1487 and 1489. It is also a 'dog whistle' (more like foghorn) used by heckin' white supremacists to identify each other. At least, that was in theory. Nowadays, it's used by non-white neonazis on twitter to identify each other so they can go to Burger king and goon to lolicon in the bathroom or or something

14/88 used to mean still means "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children" (this phrase is known as the "14 words") and "HH" (short for Heil Hitler, as H is the 8th letter of the alphabet). 1488 is also the number of calories in my Big Mac or something along those lines.

1488 now means "Nigga Heil Hitler", abbreviated to "NHH". This phrase was popularized by Kanye West's hit song, Heil Hitler. 14 represents the letter N (the 14th letter of the alphabet), and 88 represents HH/Heil Hitler. Literally nobody says this though.

The year 1488 (MCDLXXXVIII) was a leap year starting on Tuesday of the Julian calendar.

History

Likely inspired by Mein Kampf, Vol. I, Chapter 8, it was coined by far-right bigot David Lane and is used by nazi chuds to signal their desire to preserve the white race, or however the Hitler is heiled.

It has been used by many IRL chuds, such as Nick Griffin of the BNP, Andrew Anglin of the Daily Stormer, Richard Spencer of Kekistan and Janusz_Korwin-Mikke of the Korwin.

The sincere use of it has died down over time. It's now used mostly on X, the everything app, as a ironic, post-ironic, semi-ironic, post-metaironic memetic way of signaling you have no real thoughts or beliefs and have never, ever employed the Socratic method to your own beliefs. Now, your 'beliefs' are a hodgepodge of random ideologies, things you read in infographics on /pol/ or Twitter, fake article headlines designed to incite rage within you, and other misinformation to the point that you actually have no idea what any of the NSDAP's policies or ideas even were. You support it out of contrarianism and spite. You think you offend people with your edgy beliefs, when in reality your beliefs are even more incoherent than that of the average normalfag. You've never read a book. You haven't even read Mein Kampf, you watched Europa: The Last Battle and took its ESL schizo babble as gospel. You support multiple, incompatible ideologies at once. You think you are above everyone else and could totally run a country because you play HOI4, when in reality, you couldn't even speak on a stage.
