Predecessor

As a precursor to Thrembo, in the 23rd episode of the second season of Nickelodeon's iCarly, titled "iTwins," a main plot point in the episode is the fake integer "Derf" (߈̴), which exists between 5 and 6. Carly makes up the number in the episode to get revenge on the character Chuck, who she is tutoring in math. Thrembo may have taken inspiration from Derf. Thrembo is absolutely unrelated to this phenomenon, and you WILL take your meds.

Criticism

Some say that thrembo is an "unfunny forced discord meme shilled by reddit troons", even though this isn't confirmed yet.

Misconceptions

Some have incorrectly stated that Ϫ is simply a symbol which is used in a base-11 number system that comes after 6 and before 7. While this view is touted by some schizophrenics, it has been debunked by experts in mathematics, who instead say that Ϫ fits within the decimal (base-10) number system. Another misconception is that while it is part of the base-10 system, it's value is unknown. This is also incorrect, it simply has the value of Ϫ, just how 3 has the value of 3, between 2 and 4. This seems completely nonsensical and illogical, but it makes perfect sense and we just can't comprehend it as a result of Operation 67. It should be noted that in the incorrect base-11 interpretation (also known in the literature as the schizophrenic interpretation), Ϫ simply has the decimal value of 7, and 7 has the value of 8 (take your FUCKING MEDS schizos).

Relation to Reddit

On the 1st of November, 2021, mere days before the Great Soyset, a 'teen in a /qa/ thread created a KnowYourMeme page on Thrembo, which has amassed 70k views. This led to Thrembo becoming a minor meme in many non-soy circles, including Reddit, where the pre-existing r/thrembo subreddit gained over 1k members. A meme involving thrembo was posted on r/196 gaining 3.3k upvotes. This meme went on to gain another 34,000 likes on Instagram after being reposted. Another one on r/196 had gained 456 upvotes. The r/thrembo subreddit now has 1.5k members.

Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT an elaborate psyop orchestrated by the KGB to discredit the existence of thrembo and keep the goyim docile. That has been debunked. You WILL take your meds.
