Smiling Friends
Smiling friends (also known as Smiling Goys, Throwning friends or Seething Fascists) is a jumpscare-heavy, bone-chilling, safe edgy animated show on Adult Swim created by Michael Cusack and Zack Hadel[The heckin' Oney Plays guys!].
The show follows two critters called Charlie and Pim who work at the Smiling Friends company ran by Mr. Boss, along with their autistic co-workers Allan and Glep. Each episode follows the zany cast embarking on le heckin' quirky adventures with lots of hyper-edited slop, bright colours and 'loud eqauls funny' humour. Considering the creators were prolific in the Newgrounds scene, a lot of that style of humour can be seen in the show itself.
History

The first episode was released on on April 1, 2020. It's best known for the scene where Pim screams that he loves kids.
The rest of the season wouldn't air until 2022.
There would be two more reasons until 2026 where it was cancelled due to the creators suffering from burnout, however most people suspect they were worried that their show would turn into another Rick & Morty, considering how retarded and obnoxious the fanbase was growing.

Fandom
[edit | edit source]The fandom is known for being annoying and comprised of mostly band-kids who never really grew up. Redditors and Xittards adore this show for its autistic and sporadic humour. Most of the inside jokes that the fandom regurgitates are quippy one-liners from the show such as "I'm mr frog", "I love kids" or something equally spergy.
Characters

[edit | edit source]- Charlie - A proud Amerimutt and Roman Catholic who serves as the straight man of the group. Not very enthuastic about his job as he is commonly skips work.
- Pim - A well meaning, albeit sometimes emotional, little pink guy who loves his job and being a beacon of light and positivity. Prone to becoming a SLF, mostly spurred on by intense jealousy.
- Glep - some small green guy that speaks gibberish. He usually spends all his time in the breakroom watching random shit on xis Ipad.
- Allan - a red nigger who works in the office, fulfilled the clerical role in the company. Not really notable - also a faggot who thought the penis looked delicious[He just did, okay?].
- Mr. Boss - the manager and CEO of Smiling Friends. He is best known for having a very realistic face and a silly fluctuating voice. Prone to schizophrenic and violent outbursts.
Side characters
[edit | edit source]- DJ Spit - a latino rap artist who is also schizophrenic
- Charlie's uncle - An abusive drug addicted alcoholic who pisses himself and BTFO'd Pim by clocking him[GEGGGGGG]. He also jerks off a lot and was imprisoned for being a pedophile.
- Mr Frog - A random = funny frog character. He had his very own show where he ate the bug until he was fired for being too violent. He eventually ran for president and secluded into nature after realising that there was nothing else to do in this world.
