Safe edgy (nowadays also called dark woke) jokes are a type of forced humor characteristic of the views of trannies, soybooru users and leftist soyboys who want to be "edgy" but fail at doing so because it's designed not to offend anyone they deem wholesome, such as le heckin' PoCerinos. "Safe edgy" humor often has double standards as those who make them would consider it offensive if these same jokes were perpetrated against another group. Safe edgy humor has developed tropes (see below) and common themes that are rarely deviated from. Most people that find safe edgy jokes funny are trooned out Reddit, Discord, or Twitter users 'cause it most likely intertwines with their ideology and is rarely organic.
The term safe edgy is also used by pedophiles and foodists to refer to anything that's not 'P or BMT.
If you want to make a true edgy joke, make sure it has anything that would make a safe-edgy fag or a 196er go DOCTOS. Such as making jokes about running over spics with a truck while listening to Johnny Rebel. Or showing them those Moonman songs.
Common tropes of safe edgy humor[edit | edit source]
- Jokes about specific varieties of Aryans, most notably the British and French
- Tired or unoriginal jokes, such as British people having poor dental health or bad cuisine, or French people smelling bad and being arrogant.
- Censoring the word "french" or just saying "I hate French people" with absolutely no punchline.
- These also often involve simply saying these countries (almost always Britain or France because whites are le bad, goyim) are le bad without any reasons like the ones listed above (such as those images of "fixing the world map" and it's a map of Europe without the UK and/or France)
- Jokes about not showering, bathing and generally not practicing proper hygiene, healthy sleep, and proper nutrition
- "Gross = funny" jokes, relying solely on infantile bathroom humor
- Porn addiction jokes
- Unfunny "humor" only 13-year-olds find funny, such as PENIS/VAGINA jokes. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are notable examples of this. Can be used for EPI.
- Incest jokes such as the "sister stuck in a sexual position" trope, "stepmom/stepbro/stepsis" jokes, and "Sweet Home Alabama" ev&doe the US has less incest on average than a lot of other nations
- Jokes about femboys (such as thigh high jokes, or ones about "cracking" your friends)
- Status check videos and switch and bait videos. Basicially just softcore porn which then cuts to some unfunny Metal Gear Rising or Ultrakill edit
- Rule 34 references, cropped porn or screenshots out of context
- "random/loud = funny" jokes, that are solely based on being le quirky
- Jokes about various crimes, such as:
- Cannibalism (specifically the ones about eating kids)
- Kids in the basement jokes
- Committing war crimes
- Tax evasion
- Manslaughter
- Arson
- Beating up the homeless
- Typically accompanied by a time period, for example "I committed several war crimes in the state of Ohio from 2001 to 2007". This is often paired with mentioning some random obscure location.
- Drunk driving
- "Threatening" jokes, such as "there is a pipe bomb in your mailbox", "I have your IP address", or "I am rapidly approaching your location"
- Jokes about killing billionaires/landlords/CEOs/ICE agents/the heckin evil chuds/random right-wing people that are only relevant on xitter (usually made by reddit commie troons)
- Jokes about mocking people who have a job and being unemployed.
- Jokes about being scared of, or about other people being scared of, job applications
- Censoring the word "job"
- Jokes about gambling
- Jokes about how hecking racist or homophobic they are, despite never saying nigger, faggot, tranny, and otherwise.
- Saying those words but only if you're part of the group those words are targeting and then getting mad at the heckin chudcels for using those words
- Jokes that try to make fun of Christianity such as saying Christians are sensitive delusional ignorant intolerant bigoted hypocrites that hate science, or larping as a heckin cute satanic demon that worships satan or some other emo shit because you hate your overprotective parents for making you go to church once. And any other "religion is stupid" joke that has been done to death in adult shows. Ironically you can say the exact same things about Islam, Judaism, Hinduism or any other religion but you will never see them joking about them because that would offend the valid brown immigrants.
- Joking about Ted Kaczynski and ironically worshipping him by saying he was right (because romanticizing someone who did radical actions is so le badass and counter culture and edgy), even though he probably would hate the same people who worship him because xey are all tranny predditors and are terminally online, and he calls out "leftists" several times in his essay. In fact, most of the normgroids who know about him only know about him from Netflix.
- Joking about Jeffrey Dahmer, who normies only know about because of Netflix.
- Joking about the death of Charlie Kirk, but seething whenever someone jokes about George Floyd (or literally any other death or event)
- Jokes about Balkan or ex-Yugoslav countries and war crimes, such as Balkan countries being ultranationalist and having broken English, because for some reason making fun of ESL third-worlders is only le good when they're white.
- Jokes about Communism, such as T posing while playing the Soviet anthem, pretending to be gopniks and speaking in a shitty Russian accent, and unfunny YouTube channels that promote these slop jokes
- Jokes about slavs being femboys (especially Slovenia and Poland)
- Jokes about how they equally hate everyone and that they're not a racist (only to sperg out when encountering racial slurs or anything directed at jews)
- Jokes about being gay paired with "badass" things. You can typically find these types of jokes on Tumblr (usually in the form of a drawing of some frog or wolf saying "BE GAY DO CRIME") or at your local Spencer's.
- Jokes with a skeleton holding up a gun or looking badass/macho, but paired with a cringy statement about liberals, like "Listen up liberals, mom gave me another hour on the Xbox", to heckin make fun of trump supporting conservatives or something
- Jokes about Benjamin Netanyahu, Jeffrey Epstein, or Israel/Jew jokes in general, because joking about da joos is anti semantic, or whatever that means. Note that 96.7% of these jokes don't specifically name jews because actual honest to soyience antisemitism is bad (e.g. calling anything that reminds them of jewish tendencies "spiritually israeli"). Unfortunately the latter is becoming relatively more mainstream among safe edgy faggots now that more people are using formerly heckin' chuddy antisemitic memes such as "(((early life))) section on Wikipedia" due to the amount of support Palestine has among commiepedotroons. If you ever see a faggot joking about da jooz and Israel online, start saying pro-Israel stuff to make them leak.
- Jokes about Yakub, Agartha, Hyperborea or other references to esotericism. Spammed on Instagram very frequently, most normgroids only care about it because they think it's le heckin based schizo meme from der 'cuck.
- Jokes about using fake slurs like "Clanker" because they're too afraid and lefty-brained to say real slurs
- Calling things Reddit on things that are the literal complete opposite of Reddit
