Soyjak Wiki:Rules/IAS
Rule 5 of the Soyjak Wiki states that main namespace pages should be at least tangentially related to soy culture. Pages in violation to this rule may be removed. Note that the rule does not apply to the SNCA: and User: namespaces.
G5. Main namespace pages should be at the very least tangentially related to soyjaks or soy culture.
Definition
The following definition, for soy culture, is used as the primary reference for Rule 5:
Soy culture is defined as: A subject (person, place, meme or event) on the Sharty, on the 'ru, on the 'ki, or on the original /qa/, that has gained genuine and organic recognition, among the general population of soyteens, at any point in time, historically or currently; Recognition excludes the extent to which the subject has been forced, unless it catches on.
Simplified definition
Soy culture is a subject that's recognized among soyteens, unless it's being heavily forced by a group or person.
Examples
- Obviously: Sharty & Soyjaks
- The Kway
- Kway-related subjects: 4chan, Sneed's Feed & Seed, Spotemgottem & Pooh Shiesty, Based
- Raid targets: Jackbox raiding, Fandom
- Events: Soypocalypse
Exceptions
- As the definition above suggests, forced memes are less likely to remain on the wiki, especially if it's forced by one person, possibly the author xerself.
- There are dozens of pages that violate this rule, that are allowed to stay up, for some sort of reason; usually because they're funny. Pages that violate this rule are also likely to be moved to the SNCA: namespace.
- Pages about splinter culture may be removed/merged into the article about said splinter, despite the fact that splinters are sharty-related.
- Pages about splinter admins may be removed, except for Lute.
- Pages about 'cord-related topics might be either kept or removed under the discretion of admins
- Pages about variant unknowns masquerading as nuvariants may be removed, due to them being forced. Refer to definition above.
