Space Station 13/List of guides/Research And Development (RND) is currently a work in progress page.

You WILL NOT edit parts of this page until they are properly finished.

RND (not to be confused with DNB) consists of scientists spending automatically generated research points on a tech web to unlock technology that can be used for various departments.

RND will gain research points passively and your job is to spend those points before the roboticist can, because he's a slf that will queue 500 fucking mech parts before you do anything.

How to get started

Example 1	Click on it, and queue something. It's always best to get advanced parts. You have now unlocked that for the selected department's lathe.
Example 2	Does it say "experiments" and is it greyed out? If so, click the "required experiments" and see what you have to do.
What it looks like.	Go to your departmental science lathe, print a "experimental scanner", Use it in hand, sync the server, click on an experiment, and Do said experiment. Go back to the console and queue the required one. Repeat.

Destructive Analyzer

This is required to unlock further tech trees, such as illegal tech or alien tech.

Syndicate Uplink items count for illegal tech.

All alien tools count for alien tech.
