Space Station 13 (SS13) is an open-source tile-based A24 slowburn autistic role-playing video game created in 2003 by Exadv1, originally supposed to be an atmospheric simulator. It is now collectively maintained by its "community" and runs on the shitty freeware game engine BYOND, made sometime in 1996. SS13 dwarfs the other shitty Dragon Ball roleplay games on BYOND by thousands of players, which would have likely died in 2014 if it were not for SS13 singlehandedly keeping the entire platform alive.
Outside of the usual "ARYANssistant gets arrested for lynching all the minority species" or "TRANNY CLOWN FUCKING KILLS XERSELF", there's plenty of jobs to do, such as tending to the supermatter as an Engineer, running the station as Captain, messing around with slimes and bombs as a Scientist, being a catgirl Medical Doct-ACK!!!, arresting everyone who looks at you funny as a security officer, and even cleaning shit up as a Janitor (not to be confused with the actual admins or however the Station is 13'd)[Marge...]. (You) can basically do anything. The game uses tile based movement, but some tranny ERP servers have pixel shift (so does Soy Station o algo, though it has to be binded in the keybindings menu) for roleplaying!
Antagonists (best known for being murderboning evil people) are excluded from the grief rules, meaning they can kill, hang, rape (don't do this i will destroy the entire station if you do), or destroy anything and anyone they want for no reason. You usually get a loud red "YOU ARE FUCKING EVIL YOU DUMB NIGGER" on your screen if you are chosen for a role. As seen on the /tg/ wiki, some antagonists are not the typical spacemen, with blobs, slimes, aliens and rats. On Soy Station, a 'cado antag was added.
BYOND version 516 can play on every prior version, but if the server is on 516, you cannot play on it with 515.
Soy Station 13[edit | edit source]
There is an official Sharty Server for Space Station 13 named Soy Station 13. Originally hosted on Space Station 14, 'teens got tired of its existence because it's just a shitty variant owned by a tranny.
You don't NEED an account to play Sharty Station, as it has guests enabled, although having one is recommended.
The server's manager used to be 06eb, also known as Smith, but he handed over the server in late July due to being busy in life some literal who called "Lucky". The server has frequent game nights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. There are always sticky announcements before a game night begins. The server's codebase is based on Monkestation's, which is itself forked from /tg/station.
06eb and later Lucky have added many custom features to the Soy Station, such as a Nikocado Avocado antagonist that eats the entire station up, the ability to hang people with cable coils and -ACK! them, Thoughers, and awards. Many textures were changed back to their more original versions.[1]

- /vg/station - The /ss13/g official server that tries to preserve their 4cuck culture in a sea of trooned out servers. Not listed on the BYOND hub when it reaches 25+ people online, because /vg/ is le epic oldfag gated community like that and hubbies are evil actually.
- Monkestation - Run by a cuckold[Marge...] streamer who doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to hosting servers, and getting them lost. Best known for solely pandering to little kids and yet being an 18+ server. Similar in /TG/ in terms of updates, just with less quality.
- Vanderlin - Run by the same cuck streamer but le different since it's based on Roguetown code and it's like completely different or something because it's medieval or something. Playerbase refuses to admit that it's using leaked and stolen code and that it's completely original or some shit.
- Roguetown - Server nobody cares about. Abandons the "space station" feel for a more medieval experience. They allow racism towards non-humans. Got their code stolen and used by a billion furry and tranny clones. The dev made a new server, however, tentatively titled "Roguetown 2".
- Paradise Station - ACK! Notably, the first server mentioned when trying to backpedal soyteens out of hosting a SS13 server, due to its unusually high tranny and furry content. Also has a surprisingly large Russian language spinoff server.
(AAAAAAAACK!!!) - Goonstation - One of the first separate codebases following Space Station 13 becoming open source,[2] this server features a drastic gameplay difference then all of the other servers listed here. No servers use this base outside of Goonstation itself. Note that the name has nothing to do with gooning; it was originally created (and populated) by SomethingAwful users, who called themselves "goons". Like /tg/station, the server has nothing to do with SomethingAwful and is probably the second most trooned out of them all. In terms of "how trooned out it is", there's pride clothing which can be turned into pride flags. Released on version r4407 in 2010, which is what the majority of other servers are based on. Goon has "secret content", which is safeguarded and has rules on THE COOOOOOOOORD about it, meaning that it's locked. This means Goon is responsible for half of the furry troonslop you see. (if it didn't have the fagslop, it'd be gemmy. it's a good codebase with a lot of content)
- V.O.R.E.Station - Literal vore server where you can eat / get eaten by basically any mob ingame. Do NOT play this shit. It has no age verification and they probably fuck animals there, since you can get eaten by NPC animals. Don't play it. It was pretty notable back in 2022 due to the furries, or something, and was mentioned by SSeth in his Space Station 13 Video, telling you to.. NOT PLAY THIS SHIT.
- /tg/station - Shortly after the release of r4407, 4chan's /tg/ board made their own server. /tg/station has since disassociated from 4chan on everything but name, making it as far as it gets from a 4chan server. Known to engage in questionable codebase changes and nerfs. They also stopped allowing bigotry,
but you can be racist to the Lizardpeople🗝️ and Catgirls there, I guess.Nujannies banned that too. Still, despite having large amounts of troonslop and tranny jannies, it's likely the least trooned ingame out of all the well-known servers with "baseline" space station gameplay. Still has a pride month event ingame albeit. - CM-SS13 - A heavily modified codebase based on Aliens: Colonial Marines. Abandons the usual space station gameplay for a more action shooter roleplay experience. Though sick fucks intentionally lose to get eaten by the xenomorphs, they've made changes so niggers like that enjoy it less.
- S.P.L.U.R.T - Fucking furry ERP server. Don't play this. It's one of the first things a new player will see on the BYOND server hub, due to its apparent popularity. The server was once hosted on a separate IP and wasn't listed on the BYOND hub, but it's back on der 'YOND after heckin' rebase o algo. 'teens, I wouldn't even raid this one. They let you have sex with animals. They'd probably want to fuck you if you were 16, which is why they don't have age verification. Please 'teens, for your own safety, raid Para. (DOCTOS THEY LET YOU FUCK ANIM *bang*-AAAAAAAACK!!!)
- Beestation - Muh bees or something. Nothing new apart from people playing on it. Best known for deleting its LRP server.
- Lifeweb - A closed-source server with a medieval grimdark setting made by a Russian heroin addict (the latter part is not proven, but the rumors have been floating around for a long time) that became known as the super secret cool kids' club (NO NEWFAGS ALLOWED) after the owner made the server whitelist-only for any account made after 2016 to prevent ban evasion. Was gemmy at one point, but the creator is too busy banning known members for not liking his new project and making Lifeweb shittier to make people migrate to the new project. Recently updated to become Roguetown 3, and it abandoned its deeper grimdark aesthetic. Why bother?
Trannyjannies[edit | edit source]
Naturally, SS13 is a GMod admin's wet dream, because there's FUN. The jannies are best known for banning people for grief, and the best part? THEY DO IT FOR FREE!!!!!! Unless they spice up the round through larping as god, or however the space station is thirteened. An admin can spice your round up (or anyone's, really) by spawning mobs, exploding people, creating holes in the ship, basically anything the games allow you to. Admins hate HWABAG (he will always be a griefer.) You can use the prayer command to request your round to be spiced up I guess, that's what it's used for in other servers. The naming of this section is quite literal, as most, if not all admins on SS13 are transexuals.
