Some of the arguments made in the debate communists section sucks. Marx never claimed that LTV affects "value" in itself, only exchange value i.e price. Nor Supply and Demand is rejected by the LTV, it plays a role in the short-term while the LTV dictates prices in the long-term. Furthermore, Marx also never claimed Capitalism was entering its late stage, that was Werner Sombart. "...with some hand tools and wood a skilled woodworker can make furniture that people would value higher than the raw wood itself." Hmm I wonder what happens in this process that makes the end product have higher value than the starting product? Russia was industrializing pre-revolution, but the rate was slow and very uneven. Recent literature on the topic argues that the if the rate of industrialization was preserved and the revolution never happened, then Russia would have the GDP per capita of India (From Farm to Factory). Now someone being right or left-wing obviously depends on the perspective, but the argument is that liberals were on the left during the French Revolution due to them playing a progressive role in overthrowing feudal order. Since Capitalism has consolidated its hold over the world, liberals are now reactionary from the perspective of the communists (or at least centre since they want to preserve the current order) --Dsfnmw (talk) 06:21, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
