Usage

{{Gradingbox|grading=gemerald}}

Place this on a page to show its current community grading. This template aims to reverse the gradingcaust without bringing back the problems that mineral templates caused, like single editors imposing their opinions on subjects as if they were fact, and edit wars. See Soyjak Wiki:Gradingbox for descriptions of each rating.

  • This template MUST be in a "Reception" section near the bottom of the page (usually above See also or Gallery), which must also contain headings for each year or era showing how something came to be regarded by soyteens over time.
  • In case of any edit wars, a poll MUST be made on /soy/, and the grading will be set to whatever the result of that poll is. To change the grading, another poll must be made, otherwise, changing the grading is to be considered vandalism.
  • This template shouldn't be used where the grading being very bad is common sense, like putting "Brimstone" on the page for pedophilia, because it is redundant and also implies that soyteens could change their opinion on how they view pedophilia etc.
  • Do not add increasingly extreme, complex, or vague gradings like singularity, vantawhite, equinox, and so on. Try to keep it simple. Head to the talk page to discuss adding another rating. If a new rating is added, an equal but opposite rating should also be added to ensure that there is an equal number of ratings on either side of iron.
  • If added to perspective pages, it must obviously have the same grading as the main page because it represents overall soyteen consensus and not perspectives.
  • Do not use this template outside of a properly written "Reception" section. See example below:

Reception

2024

In 2024, this soyjak was mostly considered coal though others pushed for it being a gemerald. Froot appeared to like this variant and even self-inserted as it multiple times.

2025

In 2025, this soyjak came to be regarded as a gemerald by most people, likely due to an decrease in popularity with offsiters.
