SNCA:The Backrooms (Kane Pixels)
| THE FOLLOWING FEATURES |
|---|
The Backrooms is an A24 bone-chilling certified jumpscare-free kino Analog Horror web series and film made by Kane Parsons[1] and A24 Studios[2] (only the film though) that adapts the original Backrooms creepypasta ruined to the ground by trannies in the Fandom wiki, to an actual horror series with elements of conspiracies and cosmic horror and Science. It began in January 7, 2022 and i'ts currently ongoing. The series was made by someone who was 16 years old when he began, and he directed the film at 19 years old, making it the highest rated piece of media made by a newfag.
What are The Backrooms?[edit | edit source]
The Backrooms is an anomalous dimension composed by a space of infinite rooms in the other side of the real world. They can only be accessed by entering through a Threshold, which sends the person inside this place. The concept of the Backrooms cant be entirely explained, the reason of it's behavior is unknown, but it's alive. It's as if almost, through mimicking real life objects and trying to understand the real world through it's environments, The Backrooms is a living entity that is learning to shape it's own reality. And who knows what will happen if The Threshold is fully broken.
If we could give it a short definition, it's basically an AI generated place.
List of known People, Entities and concepts of the Series[edit | edit source]

Ivan Beck[edit | edit source]
Born in Czechoslovakia in 1931, Ivan is the creator of this place. He was interested in physics and astronomy during his early adulthood, and wanted to develop a way to clone objects, and even spaces. Ivan is the only person outside of Async aware of The Backroom's existence, but cannot stop or control what he's done.
Kane Pixels[edit | edit source]
The protagonist of Found Footage #1, a nophono amateur film director that gets sucked straight into The Backrooms .
ASYNC Research Institute[edit | edit source]
A government funded corporation formerly dedicated to the research and development of MRIs, but became the developers of the Low-Proximity Magnetic Distortion System, leading to the creation of The Complex (The Backrooms name given by ASYNC) and future missions dedicated to settling and investigating the place.
U.S Department of Energy[edit | edit source]
Self Explanatory, but these are basically the glowies. They are the main source of funding for Async and constantly watch over the company's actions. They attempted to convince Async to use The Complex as a single-unit housing sector.
The Async Expedition Group[edit | edit source]
A team of researchers of The Complex, formed by Marvin E. Leigh, Mark Blume, Randall Tachi and Peter Tench

The Lifeform[edit | edit source]
The Lifeform is a tall creature made out of mold and bacteria that inhabits the place. It is unknown why it exists. The creature is able to mimic the victim's voices, and blends into the environment. It's extremely fast there's no known way to defeat it. Just run.
Still Lifes[edit | edit source]
These are eerily uncanny hostile entities native to the Backrooms. Still Lifes are the result of the Backrooms attempting to copy living beings alongside places, resulting in familiar but unrecognizable abominations. Despite looking as such, they are not humans at all, and their behavior is influenced by the person attempting to imitate, resulting in Still lifes that vary between Vegetal behavior to those with extremely violent behavior.
Story (Series)[edit | edit source]
Prologue[edit | edit source]
The story begins in California during March 7th, 1927, when James David Watkins, former Secretary of the U.S Department of Energy is born.[3] In July 16, 1931, Ivan Beck is born in Karlovy Vary, Czechoslovakia.
Prototype (1972-1982)[edit | edit source]
During August 2, 1972, Ivan Beck signed a contract related dielectric properties, which would later be revealed to be the development original concept later known as Project KV31. Ivan Beck's goal was to manage to solve the storage crisis by creating a space where companies could store their products and furniture without taking space in the Mainland United States.
The first prototype was showcased in May 10, 1982 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and succesfully managed to emit direct energy to the tested article, which stayed in the center after spinning. The prototype gets approved by the U.S Department of Energy, and the federal government hires the Async Research Institute, an Institute dedicated to the research and development of MRIs, to develop the project.
First Contact (1988 -1989)[edit | edit source]
After years of development, Project KV31 transformed into the "Low-Proximity Magnetic Distortion System" a system which uses magnetic waves to create holes in reality known as Thresholds, in order to clone storage spaces to save space in the real world, and billions of dollars to the construction of new facilities. Async did a series of tests trying to open The Threshold until the Sixth Test resulted in a total success, opening the threshold and leading to the "First Contact" to "The Complex", the name given to The Backrooms by Async. However, opening the Threshold caused the deadliest Earthquake in San Francisco, the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake[4]
Expeditions and Anomalies (1989 - 1991)[edit | edit source]
First experiences and John Doe[edit | edit source]
During the period of 1989-1991, Async held a series of Expeditions to The Complex, in order to ensure it was safe and inhabitable. Initially, the expeditions resulted in high expectations, and the USDOE convinced Async that it could be used as a place for housing. However, things began in February 5, 1990, when the first corpse was found. The corpse was identified as "John Doe", and Async could not explain how did it end up there, being the first known case of a person going missing inside The Complex.
The Disappearance of Peter Tench[edit | edit source]
In February 29, 1990, an expedition was sent to further investigate The Complex, however, one of the Async workers, Peter Tench, heard a noise and after seeing a glitch, the entire team disappeared. When he returned to the Threshold Outpost, an alarm went off and he was immediately recovered by Async, because he actually went missing during since February 29 until May 8, 1990, while Peter was actually missing during 1 hour and 30 minutes. The only explanation given to this is that he time-jumped to 3 months later due to a Temporal rift.
During the period he went missing, a lot of stuff happened:
First Contact with The Lifeform and Pitfalls[edit | edit source]
A bunch of cameras were later set in the Complex in March 5, 1990, and ended up capturing in full motion the first life presence in The Complex, an entity known as "The Lifeform".
The first deep exploration inside The Complex began in May 6, 1990, being led by Operator Marvin Leigh, who would be recording the footage of the expedition. The team walks inside the place until they find a path full of Pits that surround an extremely narrow floor bridge that leads to a Door, one of the expeditioners manages to get to the door and tells Marvin to get there, Marvin falls inside one of the pits.
He still manages to communicate with the team, and ends up finding a whole other floor, this time the wallpaper in the walls being of a greener color tone. Marvin suddenly hear's human screams and walks towards a distorted hallway leading to a suburban neighborhood with red illumination. He enter's inside the house where he hears the screams, until he finds out the screams came from The Lifeform mimicking a human voice. He immediately runs from the creature and comes back to The Outpost. Async reviewed the tape and took new extreme safety measures by equiping future expeditioners with weapons.
Peter's faked death, and Reunion[edit | edit source]
It turns out that Peter was thought to be missing by Async, however, they could not report this to the authorities, as the existence of The Complex had to remain a secret to prevent a major chaos. Async created the scenario of a fake car crash and with false corpse, and issued the "evidence" to the authorities who would file a false report of Peter's supposed "death", leading to a funeral held by his family. However, as Async had found him in May 8, 1990, they had to keep him closed inside a room and they wouldnt allow him to go outside never again, because it would end up raising suspicion about how he ended up missing.
Another important expedition is held, the first one where Async explorers would equip weapons, these being Remington Model 870 shotguns. While exploring an unregistered room with no lightning, Peter Tench attacks Mark Blume and take his shotgun to point it to the team, while he vents about Async not letting him see his family again. Mark makes the fatal mistake of issuing an armed backup order in the radio, which ends up in Peter shooting Mark, leaving him bleeding to death while running away to the Outpost.
Damage control and departure from The Complex[edit | edit source]
Async held a conference with the Async employees in which they would basically try to control the damages caused by the coverup of Peter's disappearance to the rest of the team. The researcher was the one in charge of explaining the official version of the events.
On February 29, 4 Async explorers (including Peter Tench) were sent into the Complex to conduct a layout analysis until Peter seemingly was nowhere to be found. Despite efforts, they were not able to locate Peter. This created a huge issue, since they weren't allowed to disclose anything from Project KV31 to the public. So they instead put together a more acceptable story to avoid suspicion and give a reason for Tench's disappearance, which was his "death". On May 8th however, Peter arrived at the Threshold, triggering a motion alert and Async kept him in a secure room, while figuring out what happened to him. When they revised the footage, they realized that Peter travelled forward in time to May 8, 1990.
Due to the fact that Tench was declared dead, they had to kept him in the building as they were figuring out how to integrate him back into society without raising suspicion. The researcher lies claiming that Peter was cooperative but as time went on he developed paranoid schizophrenia, under the delusion that the Async Research Facility and personnel were an illusion of the Complex, seeking to hurt him. In reality, Tench was poorly mistreated and abandoned, leading him to develop a resentment of the people working inside the facility.
During the 22nd, they were ready to transfer Peter to an above ground residence, but he suddenly ran away, leading to the Mark and Peter's confrontation before running to the Threshold and making his way to the surface.
After he managed to escape the Async Research Facility, Cameras last observed Peter running to the hillside, where he fell and hit his head on a large rock, killing him.
Of course the entire conference was a fucking lie, as they omitted the supposed footage of Peter running to the hillside. It is implied Peter managed to call back his family and go home.
Async stops researching the Complex somewhere around 1991.
Found Footages[edit | edit source]
The following section is about the Found Footages, videos of The Backrooms recorded after Async abandoned the place, acting as an epilogue cronologically speaking.
Found Footage #1[edit | edit source]
A young film director nicknamed Kane Pixels was filming a horror film in a parking lot in July 4, 1991, however, hefalls and noclips into The Backrooms. After a long walk inside the place, he finds the corpse of "John Doe", however, he immediately gets found by The Lifeform. After escaping, he finds another room that resembles a house, implying The Backrooms are accurately replying real life environments, while lacking any sense. He walks into a long hallway of an hotel with nonsensical signs everywhere, until he finds a door that leads him back to The Complex (The area where Async settled). He gets chased by the Lifeform and dies, however his camera returns into the real world in September 23, 1996.
Found Footage #2[edit | edit source]
A woman discovers that in her room there's a round threshold where objects noclip. She records it and tries using a large elastic ruler to see how far it goes, however she ends up falling for being retarded. She finds new stuff in The Backrooms that Kane didnt see, such as a car that crashed straight to the walls, and a room full of moss and mold with glowing green lights. She is chased by The Lifeform until she's cornered and green glowing lights destroy the room, ending the recording. In the final seconds, it is revealed that Ivan Beck was watching this tape.
