The Second Great Handover took place from August 5-9, 2026. Quote unexpectedly gave the Soysphere to an as of yet unknown admin. This was met with much confusion, as it was done with no announcement and contradicted Quote's previous claims that he planned to JSID whenever he was done. Complications from the handover resulted in the 2026 outage.
Changes
- The new admin has confirmed he will not re-add flags to /soy/, and that while he doesn't want to restore namerolls, he is open to the idea of it.[1]
Possible reasons
- Quote fucking died
- The British glowies were closing in on Quote and he needed to get rid of the Sharty fast
- Quote got 'jakking fatigue
- The Seventh Soysurgency
- site was unprofitable
