LARP used to mean live action role-play[1], however it became an insult to people who believe in more than just roleplay. LARPers dedicate more time than they should pretending to be what they aren't, so much so that if they spent that time trying to actually be that they would probably actually make it if its actually possible. This word's meaning has changed a lot from what it used to mean. It is now basically about internet literal whos making themselves a online persona.

LARPs come in all different shapes and forms. From children lego game military LARPs to a grown-ass American pretending to be a Russian soldier.
