The Second Great Handover took place from August 5-9, 2026. Quote unexpectedly gave the Soysphere to an as of yet unknown admin. Complications from this resulted in the 2026 outage.
Changes
- The new admin has confirmed he will not re-add flags to /soy/, and that while he doesn't want to restore namerolls, he is open to the idea of it.[1]
Possible reasons
- Quote fucking died
- The British glowies were closing in on Quote and he needed to get rid of the Sharty fast
- Quote got 'jakking fatigue
- The Seventh Soysurgency
- site was unprofitable
