A BRAP is the onomatopoeia of a wet, meaty fart.

The term was invented by gooners who have a fart fetish, but spread to the Sharty and the 'ru as a meme, as part of a long-lasting trend of fetish material being turned into surrealist humor via soyjaks (such as Spadeson or the term "clitty", for instance).

The term is usually used to poke fun at Mexican white nationalists like Satoko Houjou Fan, as Mexicans (and by extension other Latinxes) are stereotyped as farting a lot. Thus, the word is often paired with the Meximutt variant.

In WWII, Adolf Hitler employed his Nazi soldiers to brap the jews to death in the showers whenever they were sending Jews to take showers on Saturday afternoons because they're stinky kikes o algo and are obsessed brimstone.

The term became popular on the 'ru and subsequently the Sharty after February 27, 2024, when Gem Control made an edit of the Satoko Meximutt "brapping". He did this after seeing a comment referring to Satoko as "Braptoko" and thought this was hilarious and wanted to use it to further bait shitoko.

The term caught on when Satoko saw the post and posted the first comment under it, saying his usual "obsessed brimstone" catchphrase. Since then the brapping joke spread and became a widely used slang word in the Soysphere.

Usage[edit | edit source]

Outside of baiting shitoko, the term gained popularity to imply that someone is seething. Posts saying "I heard a loud brap above me" under posts the commenter doesn't like became common. Similar to the phrase "clitty leaking", brapping is synonymous with being angry about something and seething about it.
