Help:Gallery

<gallery> is a tag on this very wiki and many others running MediaWiki that lets you insert a group of images together. This page will show you how to take full advantage of this tag.

Parameters

These parameters are set by doing <gallery parameter="value">.

mode

There are different types of galleries, such as:

• traditional - The default.
• nolines - Like traditional without any borders.
• packed - Images are non-uniform and aligned center.
• packed-overlay - Like packed with captions overlaying the image.
• packed-hover - Like packed-overlay but captions only show on hover.
• slideshow - One big image is shown in the center with arrows to cycle through them, as well as a button to show a nolines-like gallery underneath.

widths & heights

These parameters let you control the widths and heights of the individual images.

perrow

Set the amount of images to show per row, the default being 0.

showfilename

If this parameter is set to anything, filenames are shown above the captions.

showthumbnails

For the slideshow mode, this sets whether the button to show the nolines-like gallery beneath is shown or not.
