<gallery> is a tag on this very wiki and many others running MediaWiki that lets you insert a group of images together. This page will show you how to take full advantage of this tag.

Parameters[edit source]
These parameters are set by doing <gallery parameter="value">.
mode[edit source]
There are different types of galleries, such as:
traditional- The default.nolines- Like traditional without any borders.packed- Images are non-uniform and aligned center.packed-overlay- Like packed with captions overlaying the image.packed-hover- Like packed-overlay but captions only show on hover.slideshow- One big image is shown in the center with arrows to cycle through them, as well as a button to show a nolines-like gallery underneath.
widths & heights[edit source]
These parameters let you control the widths and heights of the individual images.
perrow[edit source]
Set the amount of images to show per row, the default being 0.
showfilename[edit source]
If this parameter is set to anything, filenames are shown above the captions.
showthumbnails[edit source]
For the slideshow mode, this sets whether the button to show the nolines-like gallery beneath is shown or not.
