Content Warning, also known as CN, is a game where you and a group of friends must venture to the Old World in order to record scary footage for SpöökTube (ev&oe its just jewtube). It is 7.99 dollars on Steam

Gameplay

>Get famous or die trying! Content Warning is a co-op horror game where you film spooky stuff with your friends to try and go viral. The game was released and published by Landfall Publishing on April 1st 2024 to Steam and is developed by five members of Landfall Games: Skog, Zorro, Wilnyl, Philip and thePetHen.
>Content Warning is playable with up to four online players, features proximity voice chat, ASCII face customization, savable in-game recordings of your adventures, and many monsters to capture on tape.

You start with 3 days to record footage and a view count you must hit within that time limit. If you don't hit that view count in 3 days, you lose and start over.

Recording

In order to record you have to pick up the camera and press the record button. The camera has a film limit of only 100 seconds as indicated by a percentage meter in the top right corner of the screen, so make it count. 

A good tip for recording is to try and only use film in the Old World and to record monsters, which gets the most views, though you can play dangerously by recording in the starting area before the Old World.

Old World

In order to get footage, you have to take the dive-bell down into the Old World in order to find monsters to record. 

The old world

You can find items throughout the Old World that can aid you whilst you record. Some are only obtainable in the Old World and generate some extra views if recorded (e.g. bones, fungus).

Meta Coins

Meta coins are obtained through doing sponsorships, with the amount of coins varying with sponsorship difficulty. Meta Coins can be used to buy cosmetics and to upgrade the island with different locations, like the swimming pool or the podcast booth.

In Content Warning, you can customize your face using text symbols on your keyboard (e.g. :), :0, etc.) and equip the hats bought with Meta Coins

Monsters

Big slap

Exclusive to the Old World are monsters. Unlike in similar games such as R.E.P.O., they run off of a time-based spawning system where the longer you spend in the Old World, the more they spawn.

Special spawning conditions

Some entities will spawn under certain conditions, these include

• Picking up the shroom, which turn's you into the Shroomer

• Holding or viewing the Big Slap painting, which spawns Big Slap

Items

Before descending into the Old World, you can buy items from the shop which are immediately delivered by drone.

The most needed items are listed below. Though recommended, you don't need them to live.

• Flashlights

• Shock stick

• Defibrillator

Updates

The game suffered the same update problem as Lethal Company but has been getting more updates recently. These updates include, adding achievements, new items, mod support, etc.

Tips and tricks

A good tip for beginners is to save up money to buy the shock stick, as it can save your life in certain situation. The shock stick stuns enemies for roughly 4-5 seconds.

Save Meta Coins for locations, not cosmetics.

Record the apples in the starting area for at least 2 seconds (equal to 2% of your film)
