UI or User Inference is where interactions between humans and machines occur. Many corpos change their design of making these UIs every couple of years that autists like to obsessed and larp all over mainly Frutiger Aero

Memphis Design 1985-1996

Oldfag nostalgia back when technology was very limited and very pixely so they use neon colors and simple shapes to look appealing think of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Windows 95 and PlayStation 1 to fit this era it will also go on to inspire vaporware

Y2K 1997-2005

Name after the FALSENVKE is a futuristic cybercore dark edgy aesthetic to appeal mostly to teens because of technology being able to display higher quality images/icons and the introduction of gradients that Windows XP and Max OSX were able to run. This is the 2nd most larped design trend right next to Frutiger Aero the funny part is many who larp of it don't think of the actual aesthetic itself instead the insanely tacky clothing.

Frutiger Aero 2006-2012

Phones were starting to get more advanced and they needed old people to use technology. Starting with Windows Vista they created a design to make it very realistic and bright unlike Y2K it uses stuff like skeuomorphism, nature, glass, HEAVY gloss, and the frutiger typeface even&do majority of ui design at the time just used the skeuomorphism part didn't give a fuck about the rest. A lot of cacas love to larp about this aesthetic when they were literally born at the end of it because it's heeckin bright colors and nature that reminds of the past but actually reminds them they don't go outside.

Flat Design 2013-2016

Corpos were starting to get tired of the amount of effort they had to put into these UI designs so they went a more flat approach to make things easier to run and be lazy. The firing of Scott Forstall would cause this to happened when Apple hired a new designer name Jovy Ive who made IOS7 which made corpos chase the trend. Many cacas hate this design era for getting rid of their precious Frutiger Aero even&tho it's literally just Frutiger Aero without skeuomorphism or glass that still has the brightness and nature and transparency style intact. It's really underrated because it improves usability by not making way too hard on the eye with a fun and unique design.

Minimalism 2017-2021

This is where UI design went completely down hill started with jeet hiring that lead to Instagram redesign in 2016 many people hated it while many corpos liked it for barley having any effort put in making them even more lazier. It sucks the life out of pretty much everything with the only color being black and white sometimes red with outline icons this also started the (round every sharp corner) trend it would be pretty difficult to find anyone to like this design era.

Neumorphism/Fluent 2022-Present

MY EYESEATS YOUR RAM AND EYES AWAY

The elephant's foot of design it tries to make Minimalism look "3D" but instead does the opposite and just rounds every sharp corners putting deep shadows behind it that takes a lot of ram power it did brought transparency back but it's done terribly now Windows 11 and Google's Material You are culprits of this. The only good thing that came out of this was the fact they started making 3D gradient logos again besides from that no one likes this design and will complain how slow it runs.
