With Limeade gone, documentation and linking of non-pedophilic splinters is now allowed freely.
Current mission: add all these new splinters pages to the splinter template, soysphere portal, and add links to them from other pages.
Template talk:NoBias
Do we need this?[edit source]
The purpose of the Soyki is to document soysphere culture; and part of its identity (whether ironic or otherwise) is how its information is "independently fact-checked and peer-reviewed". Under that assumption, all pages should be non-biased (or at least generally neutral) by default, and thus not need a template to indicate such. The only places on the wiki in the main namespace that can't realistically be expected to be unbiased by default are perspective pages (which I feel are more like vandalism/shitflinging playgrounds than actual articles, not to mention the problems with information drift between differing pages for the same subject) and topics that the average soyteen would naturally be more for/against than the rest of the world on average anyways. Those two types of pages aren't the majority of pages on the wiki however so I'd say that this template doesn't have a good usecase. Remember that there were plenty of templates deleted for having poor usecases that were just some way of saying that the page has X quality that all pages have by default, likely due to those templates originating as oppositefagged versions of templates marking a page as having Y quality that not everything has by default.
I do think this template's opposite, {{Bias}} (which is also older by 3 months so I have legal grounds to call NoBias a redundant oppositefagged version of another template) has a better usecase as a maintenance template to indicate articles that are too biased in some way.
There's a possible alternate usecase for pages that used to have edit wars but I don't think that's important nor pertinent enough to warrant a header.
TL;DR: I think this template doesn't need to exist because pages are meant to not be biased by default anyways. GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 05:40, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
