Summer 2026 Crisis

The Summer Crisis is the collective name for a series of overlapping crises that began affecting the Sharty and the wider Soysphere during the summer of 2026, especially towards the end of July 2026. These crises include the 2026 Soysphere outage, Soyvil War 5, 2026 soyjak.party hack, Vichan crisis, massive IP leaks from the Great Leakage, and the 2026 Soyjak Wiki hack.

Homocaust

And attempted follow up raid to Operation NNN against faggots during Pride Month became a massive failure, and the worst raid of the year.
Sixth Soysurgency
A "Soysurgency" from June 8th that lasted a day due to Cobblestone approving a Mexiaryan soyjak with a MAP flag. It died when it was set that MAP flags would only be added in negatively depicted soyjaks.
North's retirement
After it was exposed he was a huge faggot, he decided to abandon the soysphere. At the same day, the initial Furcord leaks were released, but they were merely a glimpse of what would come later.
Admincaust
On June 27th, 2026, Mustard demoted all admins except him, becoming the only admin of SoyBooru. Theories about Quote retiring emerged, and they later turned out to be true.
SoyBooru Senate
A Senate was created in June 28, 2026 after the Admincaust in order to improve the referendum system, so elected Senators could pass laws who would be enacted by the admin. It was shut down 1 week later and referendums were abolished, giving Mustard absolute control over the site.
Furcord leaks
On July 28, 2026, it was revealed that a large number of SoyBooru jannies and namefags, including Mustard, were members of a private furfag groupchat. This is considered the beginning of Soyvil War 5
Hack and outage
On August 5, 2026, the Soysphere would be compromised, causing it to go down for about 3 days. The official cause for the outage is a disk failure during the Second Great Handover, but this is disputed. Either way, Salt was given ownership of the Soysphere, except for SoyBooru, which was given to Mustard.
Sharty-booru split
After the Second Great Handover, disagreements between Salt and Mustard caused war to break out between the main site and the 'ru.
Great Leakage
The IP addresses of several /soy/ users were leaked, revealing that several posts came from glowies.
Wiki hack and the Week of Four Admins
On August 13, 2026, one day into Cobblestone's second administration, the 'ki was hacked by a furtroon named Trinitite. After resolving it, Salt took direct control of the 'ki.
