Bait & Spam avoidance

For visual learners on how to filter and hide coals

In order to hide a post, press the small triangle in the top left of the nameroll or subject, then, you can hover the add filter button and choose what type of filtering:

For multiple same image spam, press file hash.
For a samefag on a "tripped" thread, press id or id+.
For copypastas, press post+.

To manually hide, press triangle and press "Hide post".

Block posts by filter.
If a thread is full and brimming with brimstones, archive your thread only if it's gemmy and worth saving.
Repost your archive and extend your thread this way.

The line between acceptable bait vs shunned[edit | edit source]

For people of the Soysphere, (you), Frogs and Gigas have the right to bait except for jailbaiting and hostile outsiders.
Bait is acceptable if it doesn't harm anyone or anything except your ego or something.
Bait should be and only be in the catty and not derailing threads that are potential gems.
Jailbait should be shunned. i.e. 'p, gov docs, Thoughtcrimes, etc...
Jesters alike can say truths and lies, beware of their lies or heed them, it's up to (you).
