Spam has become a major problem on the Sharty. with quailty posts getting put down in favor of shit no one likes. However, it does not have to be like this. The following is a guide on everything you need to know/do to stop spammers/derailers.

What happens when you see a bait post

Do not soyduel, soyquote, bump or reply in any way to a spam/bait post.

Imageboards work on the idea that the most replied to posts are the ones that go to the top of the page. by replying you are sending that post to the top of the page leaving it there and bringing down actual quality posts(ev&doe you can just sage)

Make actual gemmy posts instead of just sitting replying to others

Doing this means that the bait poster has more threads to compete with at the top of the board.

When making a post that needs you to identify yourself, Enable IDs.

This helps identifying spammers.

If you see a Quality thread and have nothing to contribute? Bump it.

This will bring it to the top of the page pushing down the low quality bait. Always bump threads that you find funny or something that seems quality. THIS IS THE BEST TATIC.

Report to the jannies.

Sometimes you have to be a snitch to win. With spammers, nothing's off the table.

The Shartys captchas are actually really good at detecting spam. 90% of spam is done manually by hand because the retards who spam this site cant get past the captcha

Most spammers use the same few images, and in some cases you teens accept these images as Sharty culture.

Removing spam off your screen

Most spam uses the same image repeated as its done manually. blocking the daily image they use can reduce 90% of the spam off your screen. However if you cant see it you cant report it to the jannies. so only do this if your a selfish little fuck.

Hit options on the top right then click on filters.

Click on the options on the top right then hit filters. From there you can block text, comments, and posts.

Click on the arrow on the left of there post and then click add filter
