Darren Watkins Jr., known online as IShowSpeed, or just Speed (honorary aryan btw), is an American streamer and content creator. Among other things, he is generally best known for his over-the-top reactions. He has a YouTube channel with over 50 million subscribers. Due to his age and place of birth, he is a common subject of Zoomerposting; in fact, this very page used to be a redirect to there.

Speed played a Kahoot quiz about 'jaks, including and specifically Cobson. He got trolled by a soyteen Kahoot in 2023.

Unsurprisingly, his general popularity over the internet has spread somewhat to the soysphere. A variant traced from him, Spedjak (not to be confused with the subvariant of the same name) currently has over 100 posts on the 'ru. Additionally, clips of his streams are commonly used by normies and Xittertards as reaction gifs, commonly referred to as "sassy negro gifs" by people tired of seeing retards use such gifs in response to posts they can't comprehend. Xittertards also loving posting kirkified variants of him.

IShowMeat incident

While playing Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, he was startled by a jump scare from Chika and accidentally exposed his dih to a live audience of 25,000 viewers. The clip quickly went viral and earned him a widespread nickname “Ishowmeat” on social media (speed would leak if he heard that nickname like a monkey ), though he avoided a permanent ban from YouTube

Cryptocurrency promotion

On November 16, 2022, IShowSpeed faced severe backlash for promoting an alleged "pump-and-dump" cryptocurrency called Paradox Coin to his young audience. The livestream backfired when viewers flooded the chat calling it a scam, and Speed accidentally left his microphone unmuted while panicking behind the scenes about the negative response. Following intense public criticism, Speed deleted the video and issued an emotional apology claiming he was misled and uneducated on crypto, which ultimately allowed him to avoid a YouTube ban.
