Template talk:Brimstone

Marge why was the template deleted[edit source]
Because of the gradingcaust. Antimatter (talk) 14:48, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
BRING BACK THIS TEMPLATE RIGHT NOW[edit source]
There is literally no good reason to remove this template, It shows something is really bad, its doesn't take up much space and it was one of the most used templates because of its purpose and effectiveness, Literally no one was against this template and because of all those reasons i think this template should stay - AverageSoyjak (talk) 00:49, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Cobble's orders.
>After an informative /soy/ thread by a chud suggesting this[1], and discussion with other mods/admins/site admins, the administration of Soyjak Wiki has come to the conclusion that topic quality indicator headers must be done away with. There are multiple reasons for this change:
>The wiki should not present or try to control public opinion, it must ideally only present information and allow readers to come to their own conclusion.
>Topic quality templates are a catalyst for useless edit wars.
>Topic qualities are subjective, and reflect only the opinion of the latest editor to edit the page. Just because someone thinks something is coal or a gem doesn't mean that the wiki should cater to their opinion. If someone has good reason to grade a topic, they may just edit the article itself to prove their viewpoint.
- There's also the problem of trying to find an objective dividing line between Coal and Brimstone that wouldn't result in useless edit wars over what negative valence template should be on the page. Without there a clear dividing line being possible you just have a reskin of Coal. GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 01:12, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
Ok nigga you're going too far[edit source]
Deleting one of the oldest and most used templates on this wiki because of some shitty minimalist-ideology larp spearheaded by a schizophrenic meltdown about how "The wiki is controlling the opinion of the soysphere" is a new level of clinical insanity i never thought was possible from a vocal minority of people on the 'ki.
My opinion? stop, deleting template:antimatter and other useless topic quality header templates that downplayed serious shit like pedophillia was a step in the right direction. This is not, as this template was used for things the majority of the soysphere doesn't like (ex: porn) It was also sometimes used as a joke like on the page for niggerhell & brimstone.
People clearly don't like this change and want the template back. - Goopz 01:00, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Meds and bibisea now. Also as I explained above the Brimstone template was in practice just a recolored attention grabbing version of Coal. GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 01:12, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Geg, Brimstone is WAY different from coal and means something is really bad (Example: E621, Furfagaffinity, Rule 34), Those things listed are REALLY bad and are WAY worse then coal - AverageSoyjak (talk) 01:29, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Sometimes, as an admin, you have to carry out changes that are controversial because you think they're a net positive in the grand scheme of things. I want for the next generation of wiki nusois to be gigachads who have differing opinions instead of engaging in groupthink because the wiki said something is [template]. >I want for the next generation of wiki nusois to be gigachads who have differing opinions instead of engaging in groupthink because the wiki said something is [template].
- You still genuinely think this is feasible? - Goopz 01:52, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- GGGEEEEGGGGGGGGG, All the gradingcaust does is protect bad things from criticism and prevent good things from getting positivity, Instead of debating about what mineral rating is something no one gets to express there opinion really - AverageSoyjak (talk) 01:38, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Geg, Cobblecuck and xis worshippers are already saying propaganda, Just ignore them and keep fighting against the gradingcaust - AverageSoyjak (talk) 01:26, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
