I've been thinking of how to incentivize more 'teens to contribute to the wiki, so I've thought of the idea of starting treasure hunts. IE: Some times we start a contest to find the unknown origin or traced image of a variant for the wiki and whoever gets it first gains a prize like a gempass or something. It sounds good in practice, but I'm not quite sure: when soygem passes were envisioned, they were supposed to be a way to let trusted users skip moderation to lessen the burden on jannies, so turning them into a reward kind of strays from that purpose.
