Template talk:HallOfFame
should this really be a thing[edit source]
feels like a roundabout quality template but for circlejerking Cobblestone (talk) 17:38, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- >circlejerking
- its not strictly positive, this can apply to namefags that have caused entire variants or memes to be made for example. --Carrot (talk) 17:50, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- I quite like it, feels like something only helpers and above should be able to add doebeit, bit like {{Party}} but less flashy. We should probably have some concrete definition of what it means to be a "soysphere hall-of-famer" too. 〜 MarketPliers (leak here) 18:21, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- I can add it as an check to the abuse filter for that if it is added by a helper+ since I had interface-admin for a while now if you want Fenriris 🐺 18:47, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

- Criteria could be if they have caused at least 1 massive event or creation, at least 1 year of a known existence or if they're already in the {{Famous}} template and weren't a raging pedo then I'd say they fall under this template too. It's not really a grading template but moreso like a hollywood walk of fame type thing--Carrot (talk) 18:48, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

suggestion & question[edit source]
I feel as if this template is useless eyecandy and it contributes to text template spam, honestly I don't think it's that necessary. Then again, I have no say but my own suggestion. Also, what counts and doesn't count as hall of fame? For example, what about Angeleno or Ronald? Leno made an important bunker and Ronald ended up spawning The Frog Pond / Ribbit Rally (even if rather marginally) which are two moderately major things. Are they in the hall of fame even if they weren't massively important? Or is it gonna be limited to really really important people like Soot and not be used as much? It also sort of loops back on the grading thing from my perspective. Wordswordswords R3t4rd (talk) 20:45, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
- ^ agreed, readers should decide who's important and not some random wiki joons. Cobblestone (talk) 13:53, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
