Rot (also known as Scientoloju) is a namefag and drawfag who creates OC for (You) personally, because he's your friend. He has accounts on the shlog, the 'ru, the 'ki, and his Soygem Pass is UID 18.[1] He is a dedicated shartist who lacks any understanding of the principles of drawing, but prefers having a unique art style (which, to his credit, is somewhat distinctive), and he likes to post his creations to the 'ru multiple times a day.[2] He is best known for his animations and classical art parodies, you can find his animations on the 'tube[3] and his art parodies in a thread on the shlog.[4] He had a xitter account with the username "RotTheRapist" but it has since been 'nished, his new account is "RottenToDahCore". He's also Jewish, which is a trend with a lot of "talented" (according to the 12 year olds that infest the Sharty as of now) people in case you haven't already noticed.[5] He also has an interesting obsession with uncommon variants, and variant:unknowns and is responsible for naming and popularizing some of them.
On December 27, 2024, he was 'nished for participating in a soycord, but was unbanned after.
FACTs About Rot[edit | edit source]
- His style features stiff characters with vague bodies and a lack of any understanding of basic cartoon principles. Pretty much the only thing he understands about drawing cartoon characters is that you should start with the basic construction of the character in question, and then proceed to build the body from there[6]. However, he demonstrates an impressive lack of any other principle.
- For starters, his characters appear to be made up of vaguely defined forms that don't follow a distinct and/or strong line of action, which leads to a stiff effect. His characters do not appear as if each of the forms were built off of a general skeleton or even connected to one another, but rather, they were drawn as if each form didn't relate to any other existing form in the drawing. He also appears to adjust parts of his art he doesn't like digitally, rather than simply drawing them again.
- The only type of shading he knows is to just cover everything in either an ugly, pitch black color, or a more appealing (but still basic) darker blue. The method he uses to do this is to select the shading color, lower its opacity, then draw on the same area again and again to mimic how shading functions.
- It's confusing how he gets any people to commission him at all, but it's likely because of his status as a popular namefag and not because of the grade-school qualities of the art he makes. It appears as if nobody's bothered to give any sort of critiques or advice to him, considering that his art hasn't improved very much, if at all, over the course of a year or so. It's as if the 'teens who orbit or notice him seek to secretly prevent him from improving whatsoever, or something.
