A ban or banishment^[1] is a type of punishment where an innocent user (or a nigger if this occurs on the sharty) is temporarily or permanently exiled from a site, usually because he posted too many gems (or antimatter if on the sharty) on the site or made a janny seethe.

Bans are a janny's only weapon, and you can buck break the janny by evading your ban. If you are a cuck you can also choose to appeal the ban, but your appeal will usually get rejected, and if they are being a nigger they just won't look at your appeal request in the first place.

Bans on the 'cuck are almost always 3 days long because bans of 3 days or shorter can't be appealed.

Ways to get banned on the Sharty[edit | edit source]

There are multiple ways to get banned, such as:

Incest degeneracy
Obsessive gigaquoting disorder
Advocacy, promotion of, or posting of pedophilia and pedophilic content.
Not fucking off back to kiwifarms, nigger
Posting or leaking secret information the jannys dont want shared
Posting Soylita or Shoyta
Ban evasion
Posting porn in blue boards
Being from le twitter
Posting Omori outside of /qa/
Leaking mod.php accounts
Being ugly!
Signing up Froot & Doll's emails for nonsense
Being a furfag
Advertising 'cord servers like the troonfag (You) are
Being a baby
Saying words that will trigger autobans
Because Boot felt like it

Feel free to add more. these were taken from the sharty’s http://archive.md/20250415052948/https://soyjak.st/bans.php an interesting place I check regularly for some LOLs, it's funny to laugh at ‘teens degenerate enough to get ban off the sharty, or jannies being fags and banning them for shitty reasons.

Shadow ban[edit | edit source]

Shadow banning is a type of ban where the site marks you as a "bot" for a period, preventing you from posting. Jannies usually do this if they can’t outright ban you but still don’t want to let you speak. This happened to people during the NuFrootcord leaks, where many 'teens were unable to post or make threads because they were faced with the error message "You look like a bot" when they tried to do so. There’s no way to appeal this, as at that point you’ve truly made the jannies' clitty leak. All you can do is wait until they lift it at their discretion.

Hardware ban[edit | edit source]

If an IP nor a shadow ban wasn't enough, a user may even get banned on their device's motherboard if the circumstances are extreme enough. Either a janny's clitty leaked so hard that their clitty started leaking blood, resulting in them banning whoever leaked their clitty, or it's because the hardwarebanned individual has done something unforgivable or is so degenerate and disgraced that jannies or possibly even the admin had to step in and ban them.

So far in the sharty's history, only 1 person has been hardware banned off not just the sharty, but the entire Soysphere as a whole.^[2]

It's also effective against Tor.

False Flag ban[edit | edit source]

If the jannies hate you enough and want to severely abuse their perms, they’ll enact a kind of ban called a false flag ban. This ban shows up on the ban page as less severe—for example, saying you’ve only been banned on /soy/—but in reality, you’re banned from all boards. Jannies usually false flag ban when their clitty leaks like a river because of you and they want to abuse their ban powers while making it look less harsh on the ban page or in screenshots.
