Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, usually referred to as just Kendrick Lamar, is an American rapper who is best known for shouting MUSTAAAAAAAAAAARD and calling out Drake for being a diddy ahh blud. He is broadly popular among both the public and critics, and has received 27 Grammys as of April 2026.

Kendrick grew up in Los Angeles in the 1990s, and was frequently exposed to gang violence. Unlike many others, he ultimately decided to avoid gang culture and focus on developing his own talents as an artist. His career took off in 2011, with his album Section 80 making the Billboard Top 200. Since then, Lamar has released many successful and critically-acclaimed albums, and has collaborated with other well-known rappers such as Eminem and Kanye.

In 2024, Kendrick would initiate a rap beef with Aubrey "Drake" Graham and J. Cole. Although Cole swiftly forfeited, Lamar and Drake would continue to write increasingly hostile diss tracks against one another. This would ultimately culminate with the release of Not Like Us, in which Kendrick directly called Drake a pedophile. The song became hugely popular, and received 5 Grammy Awards by itself (tied for the most awards given to a single song). As a result, Kendrick is generally considered to have "won" the beef, eve&oe Drake is still a tremendously commercially successful artist who continues to release music.

He also has a cousin, Baby Keem, who also became a rapper after graduating from making Minecraft videos on the 'tube.
