Regarding your comment on Cobblestones talk page[edit source]
It seems like you’re still getting used to communicating on talk pages, so here are a few quick tips to help you out:
- When replying to an topic, just click on the reply button next to the comment, no need to edit the source of the page, but if you do prefer doing it that way, dont forget to indent it using
:
, that way the conversation is easier to follow - You probably intend to create an new topic, it is easy enough to do on any talk page by clicking the add topic button at the top
- It is important that you add your signature to the end of your comment by adding
~~~~
. This way, users know who commented. Using the reply tool however will automatically handle this for you
Now, to answer your question from Cobblestone’s talk page. The “emojis” you mentioned are actually templates. For example, when you see something like {{Gem}}
, it’s a template that adds an icon, image, or special styling to the page. You can insert them by typing their name inside double curly braces. So for example if you wanted to add [gemerald] __ is a gemerald like you wanted, you would use the template {{Gemerald}}
, you can see an complete list of all of them at Soyjak Wiki:Template. The visual editor can handle this, but I prefer source editing because in my opinion it is easier. You should really check out the beginners guide and manual of style, it is a great resource on how to get started Fenriris 🐺 15:56, 6 July 2025 (EST)
- also how can i create a page? i wanna create a page that doesnt exist, but when i search for it, it has already been mentioned and there is no "create __" button Anonimos (talk) 16:48, 6 July 2025 (EST)
- There are three primary ways to create an page:
- When you search for an page, and there are no results, an red link that says "Create the page ‘Page Name’ on this wiki!" will appear. Just click on the red link and it will direct you to the page editor for that title where you can start writing the article
- If you see a red link anywhere on the wiki (this means the page hasn’t been created yet), you can click on it to begin creating that page
- You can also create a page manually by entering the desired title directly in your browser’s address bar, like this: https://soyjakwiki.org/Page_Title_Here and click on the link at the very bottom of the 404 page to create it
