Vantawhite is an oppositefagged mineral rating adjective term used to refer to something that is extremely gemmy (as in, “Vantawhite gemerald that will save the ‘party”). It is commonly described as extremely white/shiny. It is the opposite of Vantablack, another mineral rating term.

It is the purest color known to man, and people who have reported seeing this color somewhere have been allegedly blinded by the shininess of the color vantawhite.

Terminology question

A 'teen proposing an alternative term for “Vantawhite”.

On 15th of June, 2026, a basadteen went on /soy/ to point out the fact that VANTA (Vertically Aligned NanoTube Arrays) refers to microscopic structures that absorb light, therefore, “Vantawhite” doesn't make sense.

Xe suggested that it should be replaced with the physical structure “BArium Sulfate Array” (Acronymized as BASA), resulting in the term “Basawhite”.
