The Soycoal pass, also called a """""""""""gem"""""""""""""""pass is a special user status that is supposed to distinguish regular users from "trusted" users. It can be obtained by sucking a janny's big, succulent, cylindrical, big cock and being a serial coal poster.

Many coalpassers are quite exceptional and """special""" people which can be seen by their demographics, with individuals such as an ex-pooner pedophile that saw the Soysphere as a place to target find children and groo them, a "ironic" furfag porn spammer, and many other literal-who ERPing spergs. They are also responsible for some of the NAS brimstone that gets spammed on /soy/ such as a lazy recoloring basically the Doise version of Tama called "Gemma".

They also have an unhealthy obsession with /soy/, to such a degree that they will waste their time making the most obvious faked screenshots (usually made in some photo maker or inspect element) pretending that they are DA'COOOOORD and then desperately samefag in their own threads spamming doctos. If called out they will often panic and desperately try to continue the thread, which often fails. Additionally they have a rather strange obsession of LARPing as the Shemmy, otherwise known as that brimmy splinter that can't stop getting shitty revivals, most likely because they have no real culture.

• Lowered post cooldowns, a favorite of leaky spammers. <-- meds
• Optional flag on country flag boards which displays how long you've been a pass user for, so you can namefag and attention whore on boards which would not have allowed it.

On July 29, 2024 Froot made one of his many bad decisions and opened applications for the Coalpass. After a week they would be handed out to the dozens of the applicants no doubt leaving them in an ecstatic state of soy-filled joy. On September 3, 2024 Froot would hold a snca QnA on the /gem/ board because speaking normally to his users seemed to be too hard for him (geg), and would violently clittyleak against anyone who leaked the QnA.^🗝️

On November 11, 2024 due to incompetence the entire board was available for anybody to view. Not like anyone really cares at this point.

In June many so-called "leaks" happened in which the existence of a supposed "/gem/cord" was revealed. Of course most soyteens knew it was bullshit from a mile away but due to the coalpassers samefagging they were able to claim that they baited everyone. What was actually shown however due to an exploit displayed that coalpassers rage towards nusoiGODS was almost 4cuck level tier (which is ironic since almost none of them are oldfags). It was also shown that they would dilate over posts they didn't like, treating the board as if it was their meta hugbox and aggressively supersaged any threads they leaked at.

Nowadays most of the old UIDs are no longer active or disassociate from /gem/ proper. This is most likely because of burnout and many /coal/fags being too insufferable to be around.
