Le /pol/ face is known as the meme that gave origin to Chudjak and helped popularize the term "Chud" in general.
History[edit | edit source]
Le /pol/ face was created around sometime in late 2019 in order to mock /pol/ users.[1] His appearance is based on Patrick Crusius, a mass shooter known to have posted his manifesto on /pol/ (on the 8chan version rather than 4chan), making the meme serve as a way to compare chuds to violent grumpy incels, and demonstrate the similarity between their faces with Crusius' phenotype. By having his main usage by depicting people as a crude mocking caricature and being created in reference to wojaks, it's unsurprising that he would be adopted to be part of the gang of soyjaks, being considered IAS despite lacking those features. The final version of chudjak itself we all know and love was created by users on Bunkerchan, now leftypol, and is coincidentally the only in-joke from there that has gained any sort of mainstream popularity and attention, and only because it was embraced by the very people it was supposed to make fun of, proving definitively that the left can't meme.
Impact[edit | edit source]
It was likely the first ever 'jak meant specifically to make fun of /pol/ users, being often posted on the board by leftists or people trying to bait. The meme in its original format has largely fallen into obscurity, being made obsolete by the more versatile and exploitable format of the Chudjak. The name "Le /pol/ face" has not really been used anymore, specially as the chudjak grew to be a character of itself and to represent chuds that aren't necessarily /pol/ users. However, despite all of this, the original drawing contained in the meme has still been widely used in chudjak posts on the Soysphere and otherwise as a front facing version of the Chudjak, despite being drawn in a different artstyle than it, thus being reused in a lot of new chud templates and media such as:
And the list goes. And that lets the /pol/ face live on in jakking culture.
